===== Author as Pathmaker =====

In hyperext, we set aside the left to right, top to bottom, beginning to end, front to back habit of reading that print authors depend on, and instead follow a (more or less) designed set of paths through the hypertext.

The author becomes a path maker. The reader co-creates with the author as she follows - or departs from - the path.
