Studio Tour 1

Note: For those reading the notes at the bottom is mostly just things I saw and some advice for wikis which may or might not be completely be represented in the actual posts.

America?s Next Top Model Cycle 12: Corson

The main page for your wiki is really good. You give links to the most important parts of your wiki. The amount of information at the top though seems slightly out of place though. Maybe adding a "About the show" page would help and moving all the facts at the top of the main page there would clean it up a bit. The first area I feel I should go to is the Judges pages. These pages well done but while reading them it kinda felt like they lack links. I think that the addition of quotes adds more to the page definitely a good addition. The pictures also help add more depth to the page which is nice.

At this point I was looking at how I would proceed from this page and realized the navigation bar. Now I would suggest you invest a bit of time in it adding simple Judge, Episode and Model subcategories so that it is less cluttered.

The episodes is one of the areas that you have done a great job on. Here the key thing is just to make sure you got all the names of people on the wiki. I did notice the first time through the episodes pages that there were a few names that were not linked. I do though think the template you have setup for looking at each episode is really good. You cover the meat of the episode and the provided picture adds to the image. The amount of information is good though one thing that might help here is links (both to other sites and maybe the site for the show for videos) which might help you add even more to these pages.

The Models section feels incomplete when I entered it. You have a good template for it and the few you got done look good. The problem here is the show is in progress and you don't have most of the models information up yet which a viewer would most likely be interested in at this point. It is nice seeing a section for the persons Top Photos that does add to it. Also I would like to point out that you are only at 2 out of the 5 you had scheduled to get done for the model page (not trying to be mean with this).

As the Pounds Fade: A Hanson

When first venturing to "As the Pounds Fade" I was somewhat started by the eyes peering into my soul... OK so they aren't bad but are a bit creepy the first time you visit the page. The main page of this blog is nice and simple. This is a good thing as sometimes when people do a more personal blog they tend to spend a lot of time glitzing it up. With your more simple layout it seems like you mean business. This is further enforced by your "My Statement" section which I think does a good job of explaining the purpose of the blog to someone. For one week in you already have a pretty nice blogroll sharing links with some other diet blogs.

Your posts so far are all very interesting. The best part is the how you utilize images in your blog. Sometimes in blogs when people start using lots of pictures it can detract from the actual point of the blog, but you do a very good job of keeping the pictures very much a part of the post and they helped tell the story. My favorite is by fare your post "Beyond Juice *yum* & Deep-Fried mistake?" where you have your crying yoga mat and use pictures to show what you were eating.

I also found it very interesting with how you brought your mood into the blog. It makes your blog into more then just a diet blog as it also becomes even more about your life in general. Overall so far with what you have done your blog is looking really good. I hope you can continue updating with such good use of pictures.

Beyond Thunderdome: Werstlein

The first thing on the wiki that caught my eye was the navigation menu on the left side. This is very well laid out. The main page though feels rather blank adding some form of Table of Contents or something the main page might help a user that stumbles on your wiki to help know how they should go about navigating your wiki.

Your articles are very entertaining to read. You do a good job with using WikiLinks within the pages you have. I guess from reading your proposal I was expecting a bit more links though. I have to admit that this wiki is very well done for the amount of content it has on it so far. Though some things are confusing. A good example is the fact you have Transformers under Michael Bay but in the Michael Bay page you do not ever actually link to Transformers or point out how they are related this could be confusing to some. Not to mention the fact that Transformers is empty which might cause some more confusion to the visitor. Another interesting thing was when I read the House of the Dead and you talked about the video game I wanted to go to Wikipedia or Google and search it to find out more.

Out of all of your pages so far on the wiki your best pages are by far are the one for Twilight and Zombies. Both of these articles had wonderfully formed lists that reading you can tell there is a lot of thought put into them.

150 - I started trying for the dinner but I think some food might have feel off my plate...
