When I first got onto the homepage, I noticed how well it is organized. With all the catagories and sub-catagories I was easily able to find information and navigate around. And since there isn't really any fluff hanging around on the page, everything is seen and findable - which I enjoy, since the other blogs or wikis that have come up during my ANTM searches are overfilled with glitter, backgrounds, and this or that. Being a fan of the show, it is refreshing to not have to dea with that sort of silliness and just be able to readup on the most current of cycles.
The tab titled [[http://alyssasweightloss.wordpress.com/my-statement-about-my-weight/ Statement]] is a nice touch as well. There are many out there that will be affronted by a weightloss blog, saying, like you stated, that this woman doesn't need to loose weight, or this is pointless and too personal...blah, blah, blah. By including this at the very top of your whole blog you have made a really a great retractor for them. I personally think that it takes an insane amount of courage to be doing this, and you get my respect and a healthy applaued for doing this.
Your posts are funny. Your humor is great in them. Especially in the titles - like [[http://alyssasweightloss.wordpress.com/2009/03/30/beyond-juice-yum-deep-fried-mistake/ your post from March 3oth]]. The inclusion of images really helps to highlight and lighten your posts. So do the interludes and sidenotes - that is were the best humor is I found. The titling is also a huge way that you get your humor across - they are witty, quirky, and snarky... the best combination, if I do say so.
I have a feeling that this blog will be a really good one it gets up on its feet and starts running at full force. From your blogroll, I see the amount of interlinking and reaching out this blog has done so far - which is great for a blog just starting like this one. I know that as it develops, there will be more widgets on the side and it is fine right no that there isn't very many.
On a completely different sidenote, I just wanted to say welcome to the dark side - we have cookies. :)

I really enjoy what is in this blog so far. You have already put up a good amount of posts for just switching over from wikis into a blog.
I am intrigued about your choice of blog background. It is so stark. Maybe this is intentional, maybe not. But I am just curious about it. Your blog photo at the top of the page is great. Though it stares at me while I read and is slightly creepy that way, it works perfectly for the blog. it is almost like you are daring me to read further down on your blog. Plus, who doesn't like a bright green french manicure?

One of the few things that I personally felt off about was the About page. Though you start off with the basic "about me" information - which is nice - you slip into tech-lingo I don't understand. I am sure that for the majority of people reading your blog this is fine, but for the few - like myself - who are coming in cold it would be nice to maybe hold off on the lingo until the blog. Just a suggestion. And along those lines, maybe have a tab of the most frequent tech terminology you use and their definintions for the likes of myself who read your blog would be helpful so I don't have to tryand play catch-up or "guess the meaning".
overall, I think that the blog is going very well. Your post numbers are frequent, interesting, and understandable to even a tech inept person as myself. You keep most of the posts small enough that the reader doesn't get bogged down by the topic you are writing about it (even the larger essays don't bogg the reader down).
----
When I first got onto the homepage, I noticed how well it is organized.
When I click on one of the profiles or episodes, the format you chose to organize is great. The reader can read what they want without having to skim through a massive block of information. Especailly with the model pages where it is broke down into Career, Modeling Experience, Episode Highlights. Though I do think that maybe Career and Modeling Experience can be combined into to one and maybe a quick background/ basic info can be added - the idea works really well.
The internal search engine is a good tool to have included in your wiki - there are alot of topics within the ANTM Cycle 12 and to be able to search for just what you want instead of hunting for it is nice. So are the tabs for doing that as well.
There are a couple of deatils that I like about your wiki. There is the slideshow of pictures of the models throughout the season continually rolling. The way they are shown witht the poloroid frame around them makes the pictures look almost like the ones that are shown at the end of each episode. I also really like the skyline at the top of the page - it gives emphasis to the fact that this competition is filmed in big cities - particularily NYC.
One of the things that I noticed was missing was the lack of links - internal and external. For the episodes, there could be links for the guests and of the places the models go. And there maybe should be links for the sponsors of the competition when you first introduce the chow on the homepage. There is also the possibility of including links to other blogs and wikis that also revlove around ANTM. Just some thoughts about it all.
Overall, this wiki is good. You include the key elements of ANTM in general along with details of the Cycle 12. If the reader was not familiar with ANTM, they would easily understand what is going on. I really appreciate all the ways in which the wiki is organized so that the information is readily available to the reader.
This really isn't closely related, but I found it interesting what ads would pop up everytime a new page would load. You just never know what was gong to come up.

Welcome to my first round of studio tours. I am hoping for the 75 points level with these. let's see how it goes.
You do a good job of filtering through the huge amounts of information and stuff floating around the web concerning the newest in computer technology - and you keep the content fresh - it is never rehashed or retold. Even your updates don't re-tell the information of the post that it is updating.

On a side note, your link to the Odd Question of the Day is great. You reference it a few times in your posts and to have it on your widgets gives the reader to perfect reason to check it out.

Your widgets are very helpful - especially the way that you have arranged them. Having the most recent posts right at the top gives the reader a sense of where the blog has been heading for the past couple of days. Plus, it is easy leafing around for readers.

One of the things that I really like about your blog is the fact that there are many smaller postings rather than alot of lengthy posts. This kept even this tech inept person interested - which is a good thing. Even if the majority of the posts are small and frequent, I can really tell that you know the subject matter and that you do a lot of digging and research before posting. I also find it helpful that you add the link to the original article that you used as a source for your posts; it helps in understanding the subject matter more once I read your sources.
The picture that you have at the top of your blog is beautiful. Is it from the Hubble or some other telescope? It works well off of your title Apha's Blog - gives it a very expansive and all en-circling sense... much like your blog itself. You include a little bit of every angle and side of the tech world. And by doing this, you keep the blog moving well and you keep the reader interested as to what will be next. And your sub-title is a good , low-key and humorous way of introducing the content in a few words.
