- A dummy is not a liberal, or at least not always.
- If you're a science major, then a dummy is not an English major, or at least not always.
- If you're an English major, then a dummy is not either a science major or another English major, or at least not always.
What a dummy is not is someone who is at least doing her best to use her own brain. Some brains are better to use than others: what is important, and what keeps a person from being a dummy, is that they are trying not to be. And there are all kinds of good reasons why you should try not to be.
