The 'Internet Age' has created a demand for internet based business.
- How does small business use social media?
- How is social media best used by businesses?
- Is a business more successful if it has a website? What if it has a website and a physical location? What if it is a web-only based business?
- Stance: This article would be to inform the audience as to what makes a business successful in the Internet Age. Is the little toolbar with buttons for Facebook, Twitter, etc necessary for a business to connect with clients?
To become more aware of how using the internet may save a failing business ( I am thinking on a local level, the shops in downtown Bemidji to be more exact.)
- Where it fits: This idea would work under New Media.
Making Contact: Not real clear on this. I understand from the text that it is the style in which I write that will best make contact with my audience, so I don't know how to tell anyone else to take this article idea and roll with it. To each his own, and.. you know.
- Research: Look up info on major online retailers, places thats have a physical location AND an online location, research businesses that don't have a web identity (Do they exist? If they do, can you even find them??) Also, take a walk around downtown Bemidji on a weekday, try to talk to manages, or better yet, small business owners. Ask them how successful their online business is, if they have any/ How their web identity helps their real life business.
