Writer's Name: Kim Monson
Working title: Mass Marketing: They Call It Innovatively Intuitive; I Call It Downright Deceptive and Dangerous
What will the article cover? Deceitful marketing practices. What will it be about? How grocery, household, grooming product manufactures' packaging has become annoyingly deceptive.
What stance will you take? p 32, and again on p 82: Informative; mocking yet serious
Consider audience fit: American consumers - young and old
Consider how the article will make contact with readers - chap 3, and chap 4, p 80 - 81: Anyone frustrated with marketing ploys might google "packaging trends" or "package labeling" or something similar.
Where might the article fit on TIO: section and category Consumer Issues
Research and practices you'll need to do to write the article. Article will be based moreso on my own personal experiences of either having purchased a wrong item because of the labeling, or having become injured while attempting to open some sort of assinine idea of packaging. I will refer to other articles which highlight the same or similar subject, and I might conduct a random survey sampling. I will also try to 'channel' Ralph Nader (my personal hero - yep!)
What it might link to - literally and figuratively The Consumer Protection Agency website, or BBB
