CharacteristicsOfRhetoric - for week 1.- Update 21 Jan 2015. : I've added some notes to Brad's work with StonerChap1BT, and will add notes to Christine's when she posts them. Everyone should have a look at the notes on each other's page - and add responses and more notes as appropriate. WikiPages are living documents, with constant changes and additions.
- Suggestions: Click the RecentChanges navigation link at the top of the page to see what's been updated recently.
- I'll post my notes on the exercise overall when Christine's material comes in.
In the meantime, ...
For the week of 21 Jan- 28 Jan
Part 1: by Saturday, please.- You might have read chap 2 already: That's fine. But if you haven't read chap 2, do the BalconyViewExercise (30 minutes or so) before you read it.
- After you do the exercise, go on to read S&P Chap 2 or review it (1 hr).
- After you read chap 2, go back to your work with the BalconyViewExercise and consider, in some notes at the bottom of the page, where you took a critical stance in your work with this exercise, and where you took the other stances S&P consider. Make this a short reflection on what features in your description of the event characterizes the critical stance. (30 mins)
Part 2: Wed 28 Jan
- Read Chap 3. More to come...
Tips and Suggestions
- The Overwrite warning. If you save a page, then use the back button rather than double-clicking to get back to editing, you might get an Overwrite warning in red. That only means the wiki is confused. Select all the text you're editing, copy it, then Cancel the save. After you save, see if the version is complete. It usually is. But if not, double-click to edit the page, select everything, then paste the version you have on the clipboard into the wiki and save.
- Use RecentComments at the top of the page to check on FAQs.
