- Participation structure: This was one of many of this meme with the same white text boxes and different messages. The viewer can just read the text from these types of remakes or they add their own text to give a different perspective or change the theme of the meme using meme generators. They can also now put themselves into the message. The text on the man has now turned the man into the viewer. The viewer is supposed to assume that they are the man’s character looking at the dogs and ignoring the humans.

#3: Guy Getting Math Answer

 (image: https://i.imgur.com/XxolBjR.jpg)

Description

- This meme is a computer generated cartoon that was submitted to Reddit by GrandMasterSubZero. It is unknown who created the meme. The image is a cartoon boy with the same shirt from the original photo writing a math problem on the board. The second image is a cartoon with the picture of the man from the original looking back (looking for an answer). The third image is a cartoon classroom with the girlfriend and other woman in cartoon desks with cartoon signs that give the answers 4 and 3 respectively. The last image is the cartoon of the man (wearing the photoshopped shirt) writing the incorrect number.

Things that could make this meme fail is if the audience fails to realize they are in a classroom. If the problem was a harder math problem or a problem only few could answer, than the meme also might fail. People recognize the stock photo models, but this was the only amateur comic I found using the photos.

#4: Distracted Andy in Toy Story

 (image: http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/289/105/3d7.jpg_large)

Description

- duplicate of the original stock photo with characters’ faces from Toy story replacing the faces of the models of the photo. The movie was made in 1995, so the stills used are older than the original stock photo. In the movie, the child, Andy (the man’s face) gets a new toy for his birthday, Buzz Lightyear, and makes his old favorite toy, Woody, (the girlfriends face), jealous. Woody thinks Andy is replacing him with his new toy, so he tries getting rid of Buzz Lightyear so he will be Andy’s favorite toy again.

Things that could make this meme fail is people failing to recognize the Toy Story characters. If the audience doesn't know the plot line of Toy Story and the dynamic between the characters, than this wouldn’t work. Another thing that could make this meme not as successful is if they used different stills from the movie. If they used a frozen motion of Woody looking happy, than the meaning behind the meme wouldn’t make sense, since he is jealous and mad that his friend has a new toy.

There are also many people who don’t like Donald Trump and he becomes an easy target for memes since he is in the public so much.

Things that could make this meme fail is Trump supporters. There are many people who support him and could find this meme a defamation of character. Another way that this meme could fail is if people don’t understand the context of why he is shown looking at his daughter.

Description

The Original Comic:
 (image: https://www.dailydot.com/wp-content/uploads/8ba/6a/c64c28cca51a2824.jpg)
- The stock photos faces are photoshopped onto a comic strip “Help Sign”. The comic strip features a popular character named Esther Verkest, who is a heroine in Flemish comic book series. The cartoon was made by Flemish cartoonist Kim Duchateau and was posted to Esther Verkest’s Facebook page. The cartoon is of Esther stranded on a deserted island who uses rocks to write out the word “Help” to planes clearly ignoring the sign. Esther then writes in rocks the word “Slut” and the last frame of the strip is of a plane, boat, and parachutes coming to the island which implies that she will be rescued. The meme using the photos of the stock characters was added onto reddit. It was made by @a.dankguy.

Things that could make this meme fail is if the audience fails to recognize the Flemish comic. It is a popular comic, but it isn’t part of mainstream pop culture. People recognize the stock photo models, but there was only one version made over this type of comic.
