The banner of the College of Arts and Sciences page is a picture of three people. There are flags in the background and the picture focuses on one person in the middle of the picture. At the very top of the page, above the banner, are the navigation links for the Bemidji State University website. Beneath the banner is the title of the page, "College of Arts and Sciences" in bluish-green, Times New Roman-looking font. Below that to the left side of the page is a picture of a woman with a caption below it explaining who she is; it also has an address and phone number provided. The main text in the middle of the page, is justified, about size 11, Arial-looking, black font. there are links within the text that are in the same size and look as the rest of the text but is red and underlined. The paragraphs of the text are about two or three sentences each with two paragraphs per heading. The five headings within the text are the same as the rest of the text but are bold. On the right side of the page is a list of majors and different programs in the College of Arts and Sciences. Below the picture of the woman on the left side are more links that look the same as other links on the page. The first one reads Colleges and Schools. The second one reads "Would you like to give to the College of Arts and Sciences?" with "Give to the College of Arts and Sciences" in red and underlined. All of this is on a white background. At the bottom of the page is more links from the Bemidji State University website for Admissions, Academics, Campus Life, Offices, Alumni and Foundation, and News and Info; plus there is also some legal info regarding the website and school.

**Characterization of Page**
The page provides an easy-to-read approach to the College of Arts and Sciences. Its main point does not seem to make the reader want to read it by having bold interesting colors to attract the eye. It provides readers with a appropriate amount to look at without going overboard. the page seem to emphasize the college, not just the College of Arts and Sciences, but also Bemidji State University by incorporating the school colors and logo. Each link on the right side of the page under Departments and Programs brings the reader to the department web page.

**Description of Content**
The content of the College of Arts and Sciences web page talks about the programs available to students who attend Bemidji State University. It talks about the faculty who are available to provide assistance and "promote excellence" in the College of Arts and Sciences. The links on the page lead the audience to more information about the College and different programs available to students. The headings of the text are: "Preparing for an Ever-Changing World", "Becoming Creative, Independent Workers", "Learning through Cooperative Relationships", "Expanding Perspectives through the Liberal Education Core", and "Sharing Acclaimed Expertise". The picture on the left shows the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and provides an way of contacting her.

The content of the page provides an insight into what the College of Arts and Sciences is really all about. It provides the reader the information they need to know about the programs offered in the College. It engages the audience by adding links to provide even more information than is on the first page.
