Alexandra Narverud

I was born and raised in Saint Hilaire, MN, which is about an hour and forty-five minutes north of Bemidji. For the first two years of my college education I attended Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls, MN. I graduated from NCTC with my Associate of Arts degree. From there, I transferred here to Bemidji State University. I chose to attend BSU for a few different reasons. First and foremost, this school allows me to double major in English and Creative and Technical Writing. It is also close enough to my hometown that I can easily visit my family. The final reason I chose BSU is because of it's proximity to nature. I love the outdoors and the lake right next door is a definite plus.

With English and Creative Writing majors under my belt, I hope to graduate BSU and move on to get a Master's degree. I haven't decided where I am going to go, only that I want to be somewhere in Europe. My ultimate dream is to live in Europe and work for a publishing company, ideally Penguin/Random House Publishing. I also wish to be a published author. I enjoy reading and writing so these careers would be perfect for me. Outside of those two hobbies, I also enjoy fishing, kayaking, hiking, and helping my family.
